The National Guidance Festival (NGF), a pioneering initiative by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in partnership with Lifology, has rapidly evolved into a beacon of transformative education, skill development, and career guidance. Since its inception in 2022, the festival has aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of the Government of India, preparing students for a future filled with uncertainty and exciting possibilities.
The inaugural NGF 2022 set a formidable standard, offering a platform for over half a million students from 25,000 schools to engage with more than 50 thought leaders and educators globally. Speakers included notable figures such as Chetan Bhagat and Muralee Thummarukudy from the United Nations, alongside industry leaders from top corporations like Intel and the Times Group. Focused on empowering students from grades 8 to 12, the festival emphasized 21st-century skills, urging students to upgrade, update, and upskill to meet the demands of the future job markets.
Building on the success of its first year, NGF 2023-2024 expanded its scope and scale, offering over 200 sessions catering to an ever-growing audience of students and educators. This hybrid festival stretched across multiple Indian cities, including Delhi, Bangalore, and Thiruvananthapuram, culminating in a grand finale that celebrated learning and growth. A partnership with the World Bank underscored the festival’s international reach and commitment to global educational standards, covering everything from traditional career pathways in sciences and commerce to cutting-edge fields like technology and management.
Looking forward to NGF 2024, the festival is set to transcend its previous boundaries by going international, with events scheduled in the Middle East, including UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. This expansion testifies to the festival’s success and resonates with the global educational community. The strategic inclusion of international locales underlines Lifology’s commitment to broadening its impact and fostering educational links that span continents.
