About National Guidance Festival & Skill Expo
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 highlighted the increasing importance of career guidance for school students. In today’s rapidly evolving world, determining a future career has become a complex and multifaceted challenge. This underscores the critical need for skill development and guidance at the school level to help students navigate these decisions.
In response to this need, CBSE organized the Skill Expo 2023 at multiple locations across India. At these events, students from CBSE-affiliated schools showcased their innovative skill projects across various themes. In parallel, CBSE, in collaboration with the Lifology Foundation, hosted the Guidance Festival 2023. This event provided students with an additional platform for career counseling and mentoring, enhancing their understanding of career paths and skill requirements in the modern world.
Looking ahead, CBSE is set to organize the next edition of the Skill Expo and Guidance Festival – 2024 starting in July 2024. These regional events will cover all CBSE regions, culminating in a National-Level event on January 10th, 2025. The goal is to foster creativity, innovation, and peer learning among students, teachers, and school principals, supporting them in preparing for the future with clarity and confidence.
